The conference title “Collective Wisdom” reflects the partnership between client, therapist and research.  It acknowledges that each partner brings their own wisdom - past knowledge, different perspectives and current theories. The challenge for all therapists is to link this wisdom to provide an intervention strategy that uses current best practice and meets the clients’ priorities.

Participants will be encouraged to reflect on their partnerships with clients and research.  They may expand their current practice to embrace new methods of intervention and current research, to actively engage in research, or embrace innovative service delivery.

Who we are and what we do
SPOT on DD is an active group of Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists who together aim to provide:

• Promotion of best practice
• Professional support
• Continuing education

SPOT on DD has previously run a number of successful conferences that provide the opportunity for education, networking and exchange of information.
