The Community Services Operations Conference 2010 will be held on 16 and 17 June 2010 at Novotel Sydney Brighton Beach.

The conference aims to enhance the skills of senior managers from all operational service streams to participate in and contribute to the change agendas, and to embrace the future opportunities as the Department of Human Services takes shape.

The Operations Conference is for Operations staff Grade 11 and above and will provide an overview of the priorities for Operations for the next 18 months. These priorities include various reforms (KTS, OOHC, CSGP), the role of Community Services in the Department of Human Services, the commonwealth/state relationship, the budgetary challenges for the NSW government; and the impact of these issues on Operations practice. The themes of the conference include working with indigenous communities, child and family intervention and working with our partners in the NGO framework.
